Bel White, I am mother first of all, and I am a Health and Nutrition Coach focused on helping mothers and babies to thrive!

The Gold Coast, QLD.
Describe yourself in 5 words:
Creative, Restless, Caring, Determined & an overcommiter (not a word haha) but sums me up very well lol.
Favorite simple pleasures:
Drinking my coffee made by my husband each morning with him, watching my son, Leo, eat sand at the beach - He LOVES it haha and having a sunset beach swim in our new home on the gold coast.
What was your journey to motherhood like?
My journey to motherhood was a journey in learning how to use my intuition, how to drop into my feminine power, it was about taking self responsibility, empowering myself and also doing some inner child work to ensure I could show up as the best version of myself for my son. The journey started with conscious conception with an intense 6month gut and body healing protocol to ensure I was at the healthiest I could be before I got pregnant. I also birthed outside the medical system, welcoming my baby boy earth-side in the comfort of our own home.
What are you currently most passionate about, and why?
I am passionate about helping mothers to thrive by regaining energy, balancing hormones and empowering them to take control of their health and their families health with a focus on REAL foods that are simple, easy and nourishing. I believe if the mother is thriving so too is the family.
Why is holistic and healthy nutrition so important for mothers?
I believe food is medicine and nutrition is one of the most important parts of overall health. Nourishing mothers so they can nourish their babies.
Bel’s top tips for obtaining better nutrition for mothers:
Eat Organ Meats - the most nutrient dense foods on earth.
Drink bone broth daily and start incorporating more slow cooked meats into your diet. These are high in essential amino acids which are the building blocks for connective tissue and collagen products.
Shop local and seasonally at farmers markets look for organic and spray free wherever possible
Remove all packaged foods that contain processed oils and industrial seed oils. These are highly inflammatory and hide in a-lot of packaged foods and plant based milks.
Remove everything with processed sugar; these also hide everywhere and also suppress your immune system.
If you could help all mums master/implement one thing, what would it be?
Heal their gut. So many health complications, symptoms, autoimmune issues and hormonal issues come back to the health of your gut. The gut has a direct impact on the brain and immune system. By healing the gut it supports so many areas of your overall health. And just because you don't have direct digestive issues or symptoms does not mean you don't have healing to do. If more mothers or mothers-to-be heal their own gut before conception they are not only walking into motherhood the healthiest version of themselves they are also passing on great gut health to the future generation, which we know needs our help more than ever. It again comes back to my goal of if the mother is thriving so too is the family.
