Get ready to be inspired by Lily’s heartfelt approach to family life and her gift for finding beauty in the little things.
Let’s step into Lily’s world and hear a little more about her journey in her very own words…
If you could describe yourself in 5 words, what would they be?
Empathetic, loyal, friendly, problem-solver, and caring.
What are your three favourite simple pleasures in life?
The morning sun streaming through the window while we snuggle and read, the infectious belly laughs of my children, and the exhilarating sensation of diving under the ocean for the first time.
What has your motherhood journey been like thus far?
My motherhood journey has been everything I dreamed of and more. I feel so blessed to raise our babies in such a magical part of the world, surrounded by nature and a supportive community of like-minded mothers. While there are hard moments, they inspire me to grow and learn as a mother. I truly believe I was made for my children, and I treasure this precious time with them while they are so young.
What are you currently most passionate about, and why?
I’m deeply passionate about teaching my children kindness and empathy. We focus on caring for the environment by picking up rubbish at the beach or park and giving back through op-shopping, one of our favourite activities. I also love instilling a deep appreciation for nature and books in our daily rhythm, which adds so much richness to our lives.
What are your top three tips for living life to the full?
Surround yourself with people who bring you joy.
Be present—time moves so quickly.
Find happiness in small things, like fresh flowers on the dining table or Sunday morning banana and honey pancakes.
What does building a family mean to you, and what does it look like practically on a daily basis?
For us, family means creating a safe, loving environment where our children can flourish and thrive. It’s about nurturing a close, secure relationship with them so they always know they can rely on us. Quality time is our top priority, whether we’re travelling together for months at a time or enjoying simple moments at home.
How do you keep your cup full?
I’ve learned that small, intentional acts can fill my cup in this season of life. A piece of chocolate and a coffee in the sun, a phone call with a loved one, stretching and moving my body, playdates with wonderful friends, or watching the sunset with my family—all these moments rejuvenate me.
If you could encourage mothers to implement one thing in their day-to-day lives, what would it be?
Be kind to yourself. We’re growing alongside our children, doing the best we can. When your little ones look into your eyes, they see someone they love with their whole hearts—you are enough, for them and for yourself.
It’s impossible not to be charmed by Lily’s beautiful perspective on motherhood and life. Her thoughtful reflections remind us to slow down, savour the little things, and embrace the magic of raising our children. From teaching her little ones kindness and empathy to sharing slices of her everyday life with her online community, Lily is a breath of fresh air for mothers everywhere.
